Iron Maiden-롹(메탈)음악을 예술로 승화시키는 밴드 

 

아이언 메이든(Iron Maiden)은 1975년 베이시스트이자 작곡가인 스티브해리스에 의해 결성된 영국의 헤비메탈 밴드이다. 이 밴드의 음반은 16장의 스튜디오 음반, 13장의 라이브 음반, 4장의 EP, 7장의 컴필레이션 음반 등 40장의 음반이 있다.  3인이 동시에 연주하는 트리플 기타 시스템을 도입한 이밴드는 대곡 명곡 음악 제조기라고 부를 만큼의 무게를 지닌 밴드라는 정평이 나있고 후대 메탈밴드들에게 큰 영향력을 준 위대한 밴드다.

The Writing On The Wall은 2015년 16집앨범 The Book of Souls 이후 아이어메이든의 6년만에 발표하는 신곡으로서 2021년 9월에 발매된 17번째  앨범 Senjutsu에 수록된 곡으로서 2021년 7월15일 싱글로 먼저 발매되었다.
